Privacy notice: Steps To Joy Coloring

Last updated 10 October 2026.

Steps To Joy Coloring is a coloring app for children, made for Nancy Lamka. This notice explains what the app collects. In short: pictures stay on your device, the app has no ads and no accounts, and it never asks a child for any personal information.

On your device only

Pictures your child colors, which pages are open, and your settings are saved in the browser on your device. They are never sent to us. Deleting the app, or using "Delete all pictures" in the Grown-ups corner, removes them.

Usage information we collect

To keep the app working and make it better, the app sends us usage events: which page was opened, which way of coloring was used, how long a session lasted, whether a page was finished, and the kind of device (phone or tablet, iPhone or Android). Each install is identified by a random number made on the device. It is not linked to a name, an email address or an advertising ID.

We use this information only to support the app's internal operations: to see which pages and features work, fix problems, and decide what to improve. We do not use it for advertising, we do not build profiles of children, and we do not share it with advertisers or other third parties.

No ads, no third-party trackers in the app

The coloring app contains no advertising and no third-party tracking code. The separate information page for parents and grandparents at color.stepstojoy.music uses the Meta pixel to measure Nancy's advertising; the app itself does not load it.

A grown-up's email address

Behind a grown-ups' check, an adult can enter an email address to open every page. That address is added to Nancy Lamka's mailing list (Kit) for new coloring pages and news about her books, and a scrambled (hashed) copy is shared with Meta to measure Nancy's advertising. You can unsubscribe from any email.

Children

The app does not ask children for names, emails, photos, voice or location, and it has no chat or sharing with other users. Saving or sharing a picture opens your device's own share menu, and only after the grown-ups' check.

Questions and deletion
